I'm looking for a cheaper lighting solution for my 56 gallon tank.
I found a cheap track lighting kit at Home Depot that has 3 halogen fixtures with 50 watt bulbs in each.
Will the Halogen spectrum be enough to grow low to mid light plants, and even if it is, is just under 3 watts per gallon enough?
The tank is 24 inches tall by the way (30L x 18D x 24H). If I buy these lights, they'll be under a shelf about 6 inches above the glass canopy of the tank.
