:confused: i gona have my cichlid tank done soon and i whant to put a medium wood together with all the rock that i have in my tank i know wood is acid and i whant to know if is safe for the cichlids, i planing to get cichlids from lake malawi mbuna like 6 maybe on my 55 gl

It depends on how hard your tapwater is. Florida usually has pretty soft water. Are you using crushed coral/coral sand as the substrate? This will keep the PH at or near 8.0 (where you want to be). You don't want the driftwood to lower the PH.
