Working with acrylic

When making things like overflow boxes, for example, out of acrylic what kind of glue do you use? And what should I use to cut the acrylic? Also with PVC piping you need some sort of cement to attach the pipes toegether right? If yes what kind of cement?

there are various levels of glue i beleive is called Weldon in the US...

Yep weldon #4 and #16 for PVC you will use PVC cement.

theres a hole article in the "DIY Plans" part of aquariacentral, telling you what glues to use and whats saws and such. Just look into the DIY tab for loads of info.

PVC needs the purple primer and PVC cement.

Weld-On #16 is very thick; works good for filling in the gaps in imperfections on cutting of the acrylic.
