Uh... I'm not sure, because they come from a big natural pond where there are thousands of them there. They look kinda like silver rosy reds. They get up to probably 4 inches.

Well, silver rosy reds would be fathead minnows (Pimephales promelas), of which rosy reds are a mutant strain. But a lot of minnows look pretty similar to that. If you get a chance, please put up a photo.

If they only get 4" long, I'm sure they will be fine. I was just asking because some common minnows, such as golden shiners (Notemigonus crysoleucas), get as big as comets do and could overcrowd your pond.

^ Yeah, that name sounds familiar, I think that could be it. I'll post pictures of them when I get them. I'll also post pictures of the pond when I add the comets to the pond. (About a week from now.)
