Mafia #6.....The Play

Right now, everyone is suspect. To think any different is very dangerous. What was in the past is the past. There are new mafia.

We are in the dark. A lot of our information will come from the mafia hits. Watching how people vote can be helpful, but it is not as helpful these first few days.

We also have players who can investigate. They have to lay low themselves, last game the mayor was a very high mafia choice. As a town, we have to do our best not to lynch the detective and/or mayor. We have been lucky with a couple of good doctors the last few games.

I also think the players that have played more need to keep in mind that the some of the new players are just excited. I also think that it is real good advise for the new players to read the older games. I watched game 1 and was into it before I ever played.

I totally agree with this ^..and follow the lead of Jo in game 5...

My logic behind this was that once it gets down to 1 or 2 mafias, if we save 1 that we are really sure about, then it is an easy win... if we get down to 1 or 2 and have no clue who they are, we are still severly weak.

And maybe we got lucky with the random category roles, that the majority of the newbies got the Mafia roles...but we dont know that...

Actually, in game 2 I was very loud and boisterous, mainly for the fun of being Cousin Pete. Sadly, there's no train conducter or coffee shop or getting drunk any more... The whole role-playing thing has been discarded :cry:

PS: Mee-mee and that guy who was a zombie (sorry, don't want to re-read 300 posts), I hope you both will still role play, if you will I'll put in all my effort on it

My Pastry shop is open all day everyday, except at night when the Mafia come creeping around, I don't want them anywhere near my Pastry shop...and Swayde, why don't ya stop by the Pastry shop and try some of my famous pastries...they are quite tasty..just ask Cousin Pete, thank god, he is sober now...

This does sound like a very reasonable move. Unless Judegemax has a very good reason for being absent then I will go along with this. If Judge does have a good reason then I will again withdraw my vote until I feel comfortable that I will not inadvertantly take out an Innocent because I have no desire to help the mafia out.

She is the only player that hasn't posted yet and if she doesn't vote she will befall a Mysterious Death. If she is Mafia, good, if she is a Townie we could lose two or three Townies tonight depending on how we vote. By voting JM out we negate one needless Innocent death. If she shows up I will revoke this vote.

She has until 5am tomorrow morning to post anything...any player who does not post for 2 full days/nights will come to an untimely death...

How does voting for judge help the town? If too many people jump on that train, then go to bed, then she posts, we may lose a valuable townie. I am hesitant to throw in for mike, he seems to just be a real, real big newb. Maybe he's just read one to many crime novels. But, i dunno. I'm not feeling much of a case for Swayde or DP either, but my feelings proved to be pretty useless last game. I'm holding off voting until later tonight. ~brandy

And that is why I am hesitant also...we don't know where JM is, and I don't want to jump on a bandwagon as of yet, and I have to go to bed early tonight also...

Or Mad felt worried we were on to him and decided tot ry and restart the Mike train.

That is what I am kind of seeing in his posts, maybe he knows more than he is letting on...

Mike I posted this morning that I won't be back till late afternoon early evening just to catch you up to date on my work schedule.

Hooked, I'm cool with being the top of the list, its flattering. Its in everyones best interest to keep a sharp eye on the top players. But I will again say that it does no good to lynch a top player just because they are top players. Top players are needed to break down the mafia players. Let the investigations go forth and then you can make cases on top players once they are found out.

IMO the only players that want the top players out are the ones scared of them. The only reason to be scared of them is if your mafia.

FOR THE FIRST 6 DAY/NIGHTS, THE DON WILL SHOW AS AN INNOCENT ON ANY INVESTIGATION OR UPON LYNCHING.

so does that mean that the Don will be the last Mafia member standing...

We don't need to take JM out this round, she won't be booted till the 3rd day but if she continues not to post it is a great idea to lynch her Day 2 instead of just losing her plus losing an innocent to a mafia hit and possible lynching.

I will reconsider my JM vote - but I have been fascinated by the effort by Mad to protect her.

I believe it is 2 of the game days...cuz, in one of the other Mafia games a person didn't post for 2 game days and they were taken by a mysterious death...she could easily post something tomorrow...we hope...just to see how she posts...(like game 4 or game 5)

If Rb says JM will die before we can lynch her for Day 2 I will switch to her but if she can wait another day my vote stays on Mike for the time being,unless I see something more glaring.

Consider yourself flattered then. Your eagerness to be investigated early (knowing that the Don will come back as Innocent) has me spooked. It may be relatively weak, but I do fear the Don being trusted early by the town. A strong player in that position would be worst case scenario IMO.
