Mafia #6.....The Play

Morning All:

I'm pretty frustrated by last Night's events. I really hope the Doctor knows what they are doing because I really had a good feeling Mike was Mafia. Coler is a huge loss for us, he's always vocal, and has a pretty decent record for pulling out the bad guys. Madcrawdad is a good suspect for the way he came out against the JM vote yesterday. I'm still not sure why people don't understand my thinking on this. I'm going to try again to explain:

At the next Night the Mafia will Hit an Innocent. (1)
At the next Night the Town will Lynch someone. (0/1)
At the next Night JudgeMax will die a mysterious death. (1)

Depending on whether we choose wisely or not we will lose either 2 or 3 Innocents. I presume JM IS Innocent but if she is away from the computer for personal reasons (certainly her right) she could be Mafia and not have gotten the PM. If the town lynches JM there is a 33% chance she is Mafia but also we don't have to lynch someone we are unsure about which gives us time to gather more info. We will lose JM either way. Ogre, you mentioned we could vote no one, true but everyone just isn't going to do that. There are already votes cast today. Of course they could be withdraw but what are the chances of that happening? I don't want JM to die, I like JM, but if she will die anyways we might as well play that out to the Town's advantage. If this gets me lynched so be it, people always say they are suspicious of others because they "aren't helping the town." Well I'm trying but I can't force you to listen.

The next nightfall is Wed night EST, correct? SO we've got some time for discussion, as well as a decent chance for JM to make some sort of appearance. As before, I agree with ZS about the JM strategy thing, he basically repeated what I wrote a few hours ago. If she does not show up before nightfall I'll probably vote for her, as I said before, unless we get a really strong mafia suspect.

My list right now:

Mad (as explained in my post this morning)
Ice (still, not as strong but still nervous)
MND - keep going back and forth - remember, the doc doesn't know innocent/mafia status, so the save doesn't really prove much, other than someone with power believes he's innocent

The back-and-forth between ogre, ice and mad is interesting too - lots of finger-pointing. Worth watching to see where that goes.
 
i am seriousy confused now. i was fairly confident when i went to bed that i would wake up with a mafia on my rope and another on the run. my plan today was to continue to put the heat on coler and prove he was mafia and really show the townies that i am a good player. gonna have to take a mulligan on that one. if i'm ever the detective, i think the town will be screwed!!! i guess my plan is now to wait for someone else to get a plan. my newly revised suspect list, which is prolly good as **** on a bull is:
1: everyone one colers list for obvious reasons. the list is on post 406. coler is haunting it.
2: mad because he was colers best suspect from the list, and was also on other lists, my own included
3: judgemax for not posting yet. i think its time to discuss z's theory here. i dont want to see us lose a townie to a mob hit, we potentially lynch one of own, then judge die of ich in the same cycle. if that happens we're basically screwed. we need thoughts here people. coler would have known what to do...
 
mike makes me very nervous, but the doc saved him???? this really throws me off. he has done everything you can possibly do to draw attention to himself, he has wagged his finger around at anybody that posted anything so far creating a great deal of confusion, he almost said i'm mafia but keep me around since you all think i am at one point (is he the snitch???) the doc saved him?? does the doc know he's the snitch???
 
lol, coler always plays that way stubbs, i could have told you he wasnt mafia from the beginning.

I do not feel comfortable letting mikendanielle off this easy and early..... correct me if im wrong, but just because the doctor saves him, doesnt mean that he is necessarily an innocent does it?

Also, dont waste your votes on JM if she doesnt come back in time to post, she will die on her own anyways.

Swayde (weak tho)
Mad (again, sort of weak imo... but needs looking into with the death of coler)
Charliestubbs (seems to be leaving very odd posts, and acting mafiaish.)




Keep in mind, that coler is a veteran player, and always a help to the townies when innocent, there is a possibility that the mafia just lynched him because they simply dont want him in the game, not because he had them tacked up on his list.

I think for now on anyone who doesnt agree with this strategy of offing someone who is going to die anyways is VERY high up on my list. IF JM is innocent, she is going to die anyways... along with possibly another townie... if she is mafia.. SCORE! We took one out. I think anyone who can;t follow this simle reasoning has something to hide and needs to possibly be done with.
 
I did not know the Doctor could save someone from a lynching.

Sorry to see Coler gone.

The more I think about last nights events, the more I think that there is something going on. This game seems to almost favor the mafia, they have one more member and the town has one less power role. I am not even sure there is a vigilante (I will go back and read).

I see a strong case for Coler being the Don and taking the chance on the botched hit. If he died, the mafia would still have strong numbers and the town would follow his list. If he survived, the town would follow him and if investigated he would show up as innocent.

Also, the doctor protecting Miken does not prove that he is innocent, it only proves the the doctor thinks he is innocent.

I am going to read some more...
 
OK, I know that you feel the lynch JMax thing is a valid plan. Here's why I disagree... we potentially lose two players your way and potentially three my way. BUT we get NO NEW information if we do it your way. We're basically giving the mafia a free ride for the day... letting them slip into their roles with no defending required. We start day three exactly where we are now, but with two fewer players.

I would rather take a chance on getting a mafia tonight and have lots of new information than just let the mafia get a free day. I believe that the mafia want this free day. So those on my original list remain so at this time. Note that these are the players that are attacking me.

Sway, please look at Coler's post #406. That list DOES NOT have my name on it.. does it? That's the list that Coler pushed.

I have not counterattacked those that are accusing me of mafia-ism. My vote for Ice was based on several pieces of evidence that lead me to believe he is mafia. ZSand is acting very different from his previous games. the last two games, I got a totally innocent vibe from Zsand, now he seems more and more mafia.
