Here is the situation...I brought home a 10g tank set up for a betta that was getting beat up in my 55g. My husband bellyached about the cost of having another tank (5$ a month in water and electicity) not to mention the upkeep (like he was actually going to help with that). So, I took the tank back (along with some yard powertools he purchased the next day - an electric edger, blower and weed eater would cost more to run than a shovel to edge, his own hands to pick weeds and a broom to sweep the driveway). Along comes some GBR eggs and then babies. Well they were doing well until I woke up this morning and found only about 20 left. I was so sad this morning so my husband said well honey, why didn't you just set up a small tank for the fry? I said the same reason you were on your hands and knees picking weeds yesterday. So, now he thinks it would be okay to go get a 10g setup for the remaining little guys.
My question...Why was it a bad idea when it was my idea to get a tank but because he saw how sad I was losing the babies, he decides that getting a tank would be "his" good idea?
