Weird Skimmate

Just thought I'd share a recent bizarre discovery.

I went to clean out my skimmer cup just now and for some reason I decided to smell it first. Weird, I know. I smell everything. Anyways, I was expecting this horrid, putrid smell. Instead, it smelled alot like cologne. Not any particular cologne and not anything I wear, but it smelled oddly pleasant.

Don't be surprised if you see a bottle at your local fragrance department.

Lol. Weird, I know. I'd mail you a sample but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't smell as good as it does now.

Never heard of skimmate smelling good,lol,but different people have different taste when it comes to smell.

Ditto.. Its a cross between that phyto I feed and the garbage dump.. nasty.. My cat runs away when I'm cleaning the skimmer cup..

That is exactly what I was expecting. When I ran the tank a decade ago I remember how bad it used to be. Now it's weird. I'm sure that once I get some livestock in there things will change, but for now....skimmate aftershave anyone? Lol.

I had my fiance smell it too, just to make sure I wasn't crazy. She agreed that it did smell like cologne.

Well apparently they make the world's most expensive perfumes using Whale puke (or something like that), so it's not that farfetched
