most inverts are scavengers really...the main aim for peppermints is really for control of glass nems...but, they are still classed in the cleaner family of shrimp...i would put an average of about a year or so on a cleaner shrimp...

I've always heard a year or two max for cleaners. I met a man yesterday that swears he has had his scarlet skunk for 3 years.

maby the pistol will leave cleaners alone if it has a watchman goby.... I mite get a couple cleaners but im really interested in the pistol and goby match-up right now. mite change my mind though. I have to wait untill my LFS does its next order so i can tell them to order in a pistol shrimp.

personally, i would not...these crabs are a little aggressive and grow to about 6 to 7 inches in captivity....
