nice fish. are they in QT.
This tank is stocked with all fish from his tanks. His fish are either all bred in house or qt for 8-10weeks + dewormed. The adult fish I bought were he has had for over a year and the 5" san merahs and the 5" leopard were all bred in house. The small blue turk and pigeon blood I've had for many months, grown from babbies.
So in this case no need for QT.

you should always qt new fish..not that anything is wrong with his fish..but you have moved them to a different environment. I suspect the breeder kept his fish in BB tanks and you moved yours to planted(love the tank btw)
if the stock were separated and acclimated to different conditions..qt is the safe thing to do.

all my discus came from the same breeder..but I learned the hardway to qt all new fish.
that said..what's done is done..keep any eye on the fish..

watch for any weird behavior issues.
you'll probably be fine.:)

Yes the breeder does keep them in BB tanks. I realize the issue that is faced by not putting the fish in QT is if they do get sick then I have to treat them in the planted tank. Well in my case the fish that are in the planted tank besides the discus have all been through QT and have been de-wormed and I have no doubt that the discus are in full health and we both live in the same area so our water is very close. In all other cases I do use QT but I feel very confident that I have no worries with these fish. And I don't have a QT tank big enough for two 7" fish and one 5" fish.
Thanks for the concern.

Where did you get these guys from? You're not too far away from me. Those are nice looking fish.
