Funny thing a guy I work with is Mr. Burns, and I do love donoughts lol. But for some reason when I was simpsonized it didnt come out looking like homer, o well (see avatar).
Jackel, actually I work 12 hr shifts. Thats the reason I dont have time lol. I am way to tired to do anything when I get home, and I am not a morning person so having to be at work so early isnt too fun. We are on the 4 night, 3day+3night, 4 day, week off, releif week schedule. Two of the weeks we get 3 days off so it sounds great but thats decieving. Our 3 days off always follow nightshift, meaning your actually working until 6AM on your so called day off, and you got to sleep at some point too. First day off is screwed. Usually the second day off I feel like crap since I just flopped my schedule by 12 hours. Tired all day and good for nothing. So basically I get 1 good day off. Then there is hell week that only has 1 day off anyhow. The only good thing about the shift work is the week off. Releif week can be good or bad, your on call 24x7. Id take an 8 hr day 5 days a week with the weekend off anyday. If I was single it might not be so bad... but my schedule doesnt jive very well with the family.
control room operator in a power plant, wich is mostley pretty boreing till some thing goes wrong. then its totally crazy. unlike loaches r cool, i work 12 hour shift work, this gives me 14 days off a month. thats half a month to play with my fish.:grinyes:
this is the job my husband has as well...he is a control room operator for steam powered plants....unfortunately he only has about 24 hours off a week...shift work is never glamorous no matter how you look at it. good for you guys who have time for something beyond it!
