So, being completely frustrated at not being able to find SAEs locally I decided to order online. Since shipping was so high, why not get some other fish too right? ;) I ordered 6 SAEs and 6 Panda Cories (also, never seen them locally). I placed my order late Monday night and received confirmation immediately after ordering and tracking info yesterday. I received them today and 1 SAE was a DOA :(. After I acclimated them, I placed them into the tank serving as QT and noticed 7 Panda Cories! 2 looked to be struggling (and still are, but improving). I emailed customer support and within 30 minutes had a reply stating that they would credit the SAE and to advise them about the cories and they would credit both if they don't make it (even though I told them I received more than ordered). I've read alot of bad experiences with ordering online and wanted to pass along a good experience. This company definitely has it together IMO.

I have never ordered live stuff from dr. Foster and smith

but they are a great company to deal with. I have ordered a lot of hardware and they are very competetive in pricing.

they have great customer service too.

we ordered from live aquaria a week ago. everything but one snail arrived alive and healthy.

they were actually better quality fish than the ones we normally find locally.. the colors were more vibrant and they just looked healthier in general.
we were very pleased and will be ordering from them again in thefuture.

I've had good experience with them too. They are very professional and definitely have their act together

I've ordered both fish and plants from them. The fish arrived alive and healthy. The plants also. The stem plants were a little on the ragged side, but I think that's normal for stem plants.

love that sight. too bad shipping is like $30 i believe

Shipping is steep, but for live fish that aren't available anywhere local it's worth it to me. Keep in mind that it's Fedex overnight. Quality customer service was a definite bonus too. I'd rather pay more upfront than bicker about dead fish because of cheap shipping. Just my opinion though...

I've ordered numerous times from liveaquaria and drsf&s; everything always went by smoothly. They're a great company.

As for shipping, its definitely worth it if you have a big order or just live far from local fish stores. (can't forget about gas, either)
