i am returning my fish.....what do i want instead that is smaller?

right now i have a really cramped 29 gal. i am planning on returning my fish to a nearby fish store, but what do i want instead? right now i have 1 JD, 1 Pleco, 2 African Assorted, and 1 Electric Blue Ahli. someone told me that exodon paradoxus (buck-tooth tetra) are a really interesting fish. i would like a fish that i can watch eat live food. are there any interesting fish you know of that can be kept in a 29 gal?
 
Exodon's but you'll have to get rid of all your fish.
 
you have to get rid of all the fish you have.. exodons are cool.. pretty much any kind of tetra would be fine in a 29 gal.

Keep them with piranhas and this is the result.

But these are scale eaters, of course.;)
 
The only thing is how are you going to fit a school of 6" fish in a 29g?...
 
I agree..while they may not reach 6" in captivity they do get 4"+ and they are a schooling species..not sure a 29 is the best tank for this species.

rams, apistos, shellies, keyholes, angels, festivum would work in this tank(just not all of them in the same tank)
 
are they as agressive as the exodon? and are they legal in cali?
