i walk into my room and my oscar (2 inch long) has a 1 cm long peice of white poop trailing behind him, i this white poop normal ? whats going on?

wow. i have never seen that before. maybe it is just old and dried out? =p

Hmmm, white poop generally signifies parasites . . . eh, what?

Actually white stringy poo is often a sign of internal parasites, Pimafix is a great medication that will help to treat this issue. Normally white stringy poo doesnt come after treatment, it's normally a sign that something is wrong in the intestines of the fish. It could be something with what you're feeding him, it could be something such a decor or gravel that may of had something in it/on it that could of gotten him sick.

My 7" EBJD had white poo after I got him, and I treated him with Pimafix and it cleared him right out, and now's he is doing fine.

Some of my african cichlids have white poop. Is that normal. I dont know if there is a big difference between the american and african cichlids poop color?

i think if its white and especially if its stringy, it pretty much always implies parasites, regardless of the continent. especially if you only feed a certain color food (most of the foods i feed are red... so healthy poo should be reddish.)
