Is my Bangai Cardinal OK?

I know that I'm being neurotic. But I have to ask anyway. My new Bangai cardinal just leisurely swam behind the rocks in my tank and is hanging out there. I assume that he is ok....just taking some time to get used to the tank? He did not come out for feeding, but I did see him go after a piece of flake food that made it back to him (fyi, he ate like a pig at the LFS). Should I try and entice him out with some live food? I feed flakes, Cyclopeeze granules, and a shrimp pellet or two regularly for everyone. I have some frozen brine, but I am going to pick up some mysis (mysid?) shrimp today.
Or will he just take his sweet time to become social?

They don't do much Robbie. Kind of just hover in the water. I'd try bringing the number up to 5 by getting 4 more. If you don't want that many try getting 2 more at least.

My two just hang out together, they tend to be quite stationary especially compared to the other tankmates.

I do want more...but unfortunately the LFS only had one. I'm going to my other LFS today and check them out. These guys really don't seem like they would be terribly aggressive...I'm assuming that adding more later is not a problem? I want to add a few pajama cardinals, too.....you don't think I'll be overstocked do you?:lol2:

I dunno robbie.. Your tank is getting kind of full.. You should probably be careful.. :rofl:

But like I said earlier I think you do need to add more.. 1 is the lonliest number you know..

Well, he ate this afternoon, so I guess he's ok. I dropped in so mysis shrimp and he rose from his hiding place and ate. I don't mind if he just hovers in the water, but I wish he'd do it on the front side of the rocks. He didn't seem too fond of the marine flakes or the cyclopeeze granules or the shrimp pellets, so I might try feeding these guys shrimp once a day.

It took our Bangai a while to get comfortable enough not to hide behind the rocks or in the frog spawn. Now she is everywhere, although she really just kinda hovers here and there.
