I've just added a small yellow watchman to may tank this afternoon, how long should I wait till adding my next fish(royal gramma)?
Tank has been running a month, its a 90 litre tank with 16kg live rock and the only stock in there is the yellow watchman goby, a frag of pulsing xenia, a large finger leather, 4 trochus and 4 turbo snails

Nothing good ever comes out of this hobby from being impatient... I agree with salty, wait a week. That is a good rule of thumb if you are not buying a couple of specimens together.

Do you use a QT process, or do you just put the new critters straight into your display tank?

I agree a week should be good and a QT is important. I learned this the HARD way. Now I will QT all.

my lfs qt's the fish for a month before selling them

too few stores do this. That is very inspiring to hear and i hope you give that store and its owners lots of credit.

i agree, that shows a store that is truly in it for the love of the hobby, and a store that is desired to offer the healthiest aquatic life possible... Two thumbs up.

And if it were me i would be buying everything there, even dry goods just to help them out, because im sure its not easy saying no to a customer who wants a fish that hasnt been properly QT'd yet.

Just my 2 cents.

As for the actual thread, i would wait at the very least a week, maybe longer. Nothing bad happens when you are patient and take time in this hobby, but bad things do happen when you are impatient and rush.

Sorry for hijacking =/
