I'm still in the cycling process, I think this is a bacteria bloom, yesterday it was just a little cloudy today it is quite a bit more, how should i deal with this, I'm still also working on getting my amouna and nitrite #'s down, the Nirate is just starting to go up, so it is following the corect patteren I just dont want to stress the fish too much, I have been doing a 10% wc on Wednesdays, and a 25% on Saturdays.

Thank you for your help

What are your ammonia and nitrite readings?

Being that you are cycling with fish the small water changes you are doing may not be enough.... You should test the water (hopefully with a liquid test kit) and do water changes that will get ammonia and nitrite levels at or below .25ppm.

Plus larger water changes will not effect your cycle and may help clear up the cloudy water..... Being you are doing this with fish in you may have to start doing water changes daily to keep ammonia and nitrites in check.

I've been using the strip test that petsmart sugested, but they are hard to read, what liquid test would you sugest?

API Freshwater Master Kit ....goto Petsmarts website and print off the page with the price on it... Here is a link...just pick the API Master Kit in list and print page off then take it with you to the Petsmart store and they will pricematch the online price to save you some $$$

Oh yes I would...so would all the others on the forum :D

I try not to think of what I have spent and try to just enjoy the hobby....It would defeat the purpose of having a tank to help relax yourself if all you thought about when you looked at it were $$$ swimming around ;)

oh its no biggy I know it will balance once i get it going right
