PETA freak? Talk about an unnecessary comment; what an insult. Excuse us for feeling compassion. The fact that the individual posted a disclaimer does not justify nor excuse such blatant inhumane intent.
I would like to say, however, that I do not feel any ill feelings toward this topic's author. Please notice that she has already pointed out that she realizes such actions were unnecessary and has not commited such an act since.
Pretty piranhas, by the way. The goldfish was also very pretty though.

Nemo, you can post your opinions but your latest post about namecalling was bang out of order.;) Furthermore, you have no right to question what the moderator deems inappropriate or appropriate for public viewing.

You knew exactly what was going to happen with a goldfish 3 times as large as a piranhas mouth, so why do it? If your human and feel bad for the fish, then you would have bought the cheaper inch long ones in the tank right next to that large one. NOT COOL.

wtf?...i'm not defending him...but

whats the difference between an inch long feeder, and a larger feeder? why is it ok to feed them small feeders, which get ripped up just the same..and not a larger goldfish?

i had bought 200 goldfish about a year ago, all where small, but there was one large one, about 5 inches..bulked it up..and my oscars had a nice meal..now i didn't take enjoyment out of it..no videos or anything..but my oscars enjoyed it, whats wrong with that?

FISH EAT FISH in the wild..some fish NEED fish in their diet..these are called piscavores.

I agree that we didn't have to watch it, but, if the author of the video didn't want us to say "what a terrible thing" or "thats awful" etc. then why post it, regardless of the fact he fore-warned us? Like stated earlier, when you label something as "graphic" it rises the curiosity and most of the time people are going to check it out. Its what we do. So far pretty much everyone has said they didn't like it (with a few exceptions who did like it...) so even though the person said it was graphic, that didn't stop anyone from watching it. Another thing, I agree with Yonsu on the comment about not feeling any ill feelings towards the author. I don't either but I do feel that he/she kind of set themselves up for this the moment they posted that video. I mean, you can't expect to put up a video like that first one and then not have people comment about it even though he/she said they didn't wanna hear the negative feedback about the video.

To Kingofthedeep, the difference is, if you buy a small feeder, chances are it will be killed almost instantly as it is just little and the piranhas and their mouths are considerably bigger, but when you buy the bigger feeders...well...lets put 2 and 2 together: big goldfish + small piranha mouth= more bites to kill = slower, more painful and not instant death. This is maybe not as efficient as using one big fish but, you could use 3 small feeders to equal one big one and you could still "make a nice meal" for your oscar or pirahna and it would be a lot less torturous. The smaller the fish, the less it takes to kill it, and when you have a big fish like an oscar and a small fish like a feeder it only takes one bite to kill it whereas a big feeder takes a few bites as shown in the pirahna video. We all know that fish eat fish in the wild, its part of the process to keep the fish population in order, same with wildlife, but leave that for the wild, we're humans and can find better ways of feeding our fish then to torture other fish. Just because they may eat fish in the wild, doesn't mean you can't supplement them with something else thats just as meaty.

if you choose to watch it, when he clearly stated it was disturbing..why come back and flame him? its done and over with..flaming him wont bring the fish back, nor will it stop other P keepers from doing this every day, it is pointless and ignorant.

Well he set himself up for flaming when that video was posted. You can't expect no one to not say anything after something like that regardless of the fact he said it was graphic. It doesn't matter what anyone says about their video, if its of that content, someone is bound to say something negative about it and thats what happened here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and we're allowed to express it too...obvioulsy you have a different one and thats fine, good for you, but don't hate on the rest of us because we have a different opinion then you. And you're right, it won't stop them from doing it but videoing it and then posting it was probably not the best thing to do. I mean really, like 99.9% of people on here are fish lovers and no one wants to see a beautiful goldfish like that (even if it is a feeder) be slowly tortured and ripped to shreds.
