Mexican black king snake

ok i have just recently read about and saw at a pet sore called a "Mexican black king snake". it sounds like it's good with handling and the specific care needs are no different than a scorpion exept a few expeptions(water dish, jagged rock, more hiding places etc). i was thinking it could be good beggining snake once i get the money for everything(maybe sometime next year) but my parents have a problem about it would need to eat mice.

so if i do ever get the money, any convincing reasons why feeding frozen mice should be done?

thanks

Well, feeding frozen mice is a lot mroe humane in my opinion than going with live....Its also cheaper I think....

thats what i thought, it's really no different than having fish or frozen turkey in the freezer, but my parents say "once anything like a mouse including a dead one enters the house, it's considered a pet."

i don't get it, if we a dead mice and this snake required ham or something it would probably have the same problem.

it's one of those "it's ok for humans because we're special" kind of things but feeding any other animal the same type of related food (mouse-mammle-cow) is wrong. even though there farm raised which i earlier heard my dad say that farmed food of trees doesn't count as killing, he still doesn't want anything to do with them.

this is the main reason so far i can't have one right now...

does anybody have anything i can use to convince them about te frozen mice?

(no, snake sausages i read are bad for them)

Well, if your parents have a problem with live, I wouldnt argue with them.
