HA HA, Grins is stumped

I'm guessing it is some form of acorpora coral.

And it seems I now have to increase my lighting. AARGH! that should increase my algae and then of course I will need a lawnmower blenny :


Well I started to set up a refugium/quaranteen tank. Got the mix, added a bit of sand on the bottom got a small pump, need a heater.

Maybe I shall name the pair Grins and Berret?

Stronger lights will not increase your algae. Bad reefkeeping will.

Don't use your fuge as your QT. The fuge should be hooked up to the display and you do not want your QT hooked up to it or you negate the reason for it being a QT tank.

Yep, I really have no light, just sunshine somethimes

In the beginning...
refuge will be separate, water will get transfered by hand at first, and should occasion arise for quarantine tank I have the option.

But for now, just slowly working into larger system. Eventually the hot tub will be the refugium and the pool my show tank. :liar:

So this is now how the coral is doing, and the surviving crab is back at the fish store. Seems they really like coral and when I removed them the smaller one starved before I could get them back.
