my god haha. I am a product junky yes.
My whole under-sink area is stacked with drawers full of hairdyes, hair products and treatments, skin cleansers and creams, lotions, natural oils and extracts...

I'm going to start making my own products. I've been mixing my own oils to use on my face for a while but I'm going to get some herbal waters and emulsifying agents and start mixing lotions and masks and stuff.

(I have rosacea so I can't use most over the counter stuff on my face)
 
The funny thing is, I read reviews, researched the ingredients of, and read up on the functions of every single product I own, I believe.

I want to be a medical esthetician when I get my license. Love love love skin and skin products and procedures... I would be giving my first facial today, in school, but I couldn't go to sleep until 3 am so...

A good oil to use for make-up removal is a base with hazelnut or seasame seed, they are both very light. I prefer the seasame seed myself. Just remember a little goes a looooog way. I mainly use it to remove eye make up.

It's a little expensive but I love adding rose or jasmine to mine. Chamomile (roman), lavender and carrot oil are good mixtures, they all have very good properties for you face.

I could tell you good oils to add for the roacea, but I would have to find my books first..you'll have to give me a little time for that.

Also something for you skin that makes you all silky soft....sea salt (not what you use in your fishtanks). But if you get sea salt, add a few oils...start with about a cup of seasalt, I like adding lemon, orange, grapefruit, and lemongrass or Rose, Jasmine and sandlewood, then add about a tsp of base oil (Almond, Borage, Grapeseed) mix it with your fingers stand in the tub rub it all over...this exfoliates your skin, then take your bath/shower. When you get out add an oil to your body, the Seasame seed or Almond are great bases for this..add a few drops of what ever oil you want. Also remember a little goes a looong way with this also...and do it before you dry, then don't rub dry..if possible air dry if not "pat" dry, you will be all silky smooth and soft.

Get lots of bottles cause once you start, the possibilities are endless!! Have fun with it!!
 
yeah... a lot of those oils would be irritating to rosacea. Right now the only useful oils I have are jojoba, emu, blue/german chamomile (extremely expensive, like 10$ for maybe 20 drops) and manuka, and I also have licorice extract.

I just spent $70 ordering licorice root powder, funnels, pipettes, ground calendula petals, marshmallow root powder, liquid lecithin (emulsifier), calendula oil, seabuckthorn berry oil, and candelilla wax pellets (thickener and such). Here in a bit I am going to the healthfood store to get horse chestnut, comfrey, and milk thistle oils, and see if I can find some feverfew herbs.

I also need cobalt PET bottles, a spoon to measure herbs and powders, an oz measurement cup, and a double boiler.

Awsome, be careful with the milk thistle it can be irritating. A dropper helps too as some of the oils take FOREVER to drop out. You have the Roman/German Chamomile, so you know what I mean. Expensive stuff...I wanted Jasmine soooo bad and it was 75 bucks for 1/4 oz. I saved up to get it, with some other stuff. THEN found out I was prego!!! Jasmine/Rose/Cedar and a few others are not good to use while Pregnant, so I had to wait 9 MORE months after buying it to use it:angryfire:
