Mafia #18 The Santa Game

First of all, only one innocent was lynched. Two innocents basically 'quit,' and another was hit by scum. Only LG's lynch was somewhat controllable by the town... Why are you trying to make it sound like innocent townies are getting lynched left and right?

I'm nor trying to do any such thing. I said we lost 3 innocent townspeople. Why are you twisting what I said?

If you're unwilling to put folk's feet to the fire to get information, what's your plan? How do you see it being more effective than grilling other players, especially given the time constraint that the town is under to rid itself of scum?

Again, I've not said I'm unwilling to put people's feet to the fire. However, to go around doing it all willy nilly because someone twists another's words or brings up something meaningless does not help our town when we are on a tight deadline. In fact it hurts it. Instead of focusing on the grinch and his evil elves it has us looking at innocents..like LadyG. I don't want that to happen again and I can't see how to be any more clear about that.

This post strikes me as interesting... you say 'We lynched one of our own.' This looks like you are saying the following: 'I, Grins, am innocent, and Lady G (who was also an innocent) was lynched by innocents.' What makes you so sure that LG was lynched by innocents? There are scum playing this game who also vote, what makes you think that some of them weren't on LG?

Oh jeez, how do I reply to such a thing? I never said I was lynched. And in essence I do believe that innocents had a role in lynching the good LadyG. We allowed it by focusing on trivial matters that the evil ones wanted us to in order to take the focus off of them.

I'm unclear as to why you're saying that it was innocents kicking down doors who mainly did in LG, and not even acknowleging that scum might have played a big part in the lynching of LG.
[/QUOTE]

Oh scum played a huge part in her lynching. But so did we. We played right into their hands I'm afraid. Are we going to do it again?

Grins, if you are an innocent, it is your job to scour the thread for suspicious posts. Not every post that seems suspicious will be made by an evil, but it will not hurt to question the poster. As a matter of fact it helps me to get a better feel for players when they do answer me. And when they don't it tells me something as well. I don't usually like to pick on newbs, but it is day 2 now and you should be getting the hang of the game. I was evil my very first game, so I will not let pple play the newb card all game long without saying anything

Sorry Plant, I realize what you're saying. At this point my quietness in town has been due to a last minute work project I had thrust upon me a few days ago. I mentioned this a few times and my being away from AC as much as I have would hopefully support me not being around not just avoiding townspeople or wishing to not participate. I'll have the project wrapped up today and be able to participate as I had originally intended.

So again, no newbie card is being played.

JP...i see the point your making there mate, i realise i did go a little bit hard on Grins..Appologies out to Grins..

Thank you for the apology. I have to admit I'm not sure how sincere it is though, it just seems so sudden. If you are innocent you'll understand why I'm scared enough to keep my vote the same right now and will watch closely to see if it needs to change.

On another note, I'm worried about Clown. I voted for him the first night so I obviously suspected he was not completely pure. But now he has been so quiet I don't know what to think. I've been unbelievably busy the past few days but I've made time to at least check in and catch up once a day. Why not Clown? Is this part of his strategy to rile the town up the first day and then lay low? Or is there an aspect to the game I'm not familiar with? Could the grinch and his evil elves done something to him that we won't find out about until tonight?

Unless you have a pretty clear case of someone being evil you risk taking the focus off real scum and instead having others begin to target innocents. For proof of that just look at how LadyG was singled out and how quickly the town turned on her. Meanwhile the real scum were left to carry out their misdeeds and we lost one of our own. I'll "woman up" and ask questions and vote to protect the town but I am not going to fly off at the handle and play right into the hands of those that wish to do us harm.

Blueiz, here is Grins post, and then my response. Where is it that i "twisted" her words?? Note the question mark after the bolded part of my post.

Well for one it was made to sound as if I had no suspects when I had listed a few that were acting oddly to me. On the first day I had listed or agreed with others about suspicions about Clown and Niko.

As for clown whom I did vote for we don't yet know if he is innocent or not but I am suspecting not.

And now you, why the sudden false information about me not listing suspects? Are you trying to deflect from something? Hoping that perhaps another rash of mob mentality will lynch another innocent?

I find it odd that in the first part of the post you say CL is still suspect, then later you say he's not. Which one is it???
It's also suspicious that you want to point out that you didn't vote for LG whenever you get the chance. May I point out that since you probably knew she was innocent, I can see why you didn't want to vote for her. Well played.

Huh? I didn't say he wasn't suspect any longer. Innocent or not...the not refers to not innocent which means supsect and I clearly said I was suspecting he fell into the not innocent category. And I only pointed out not voting for LG in context of why I don't believe in creating a mob to find the grinch and his evil elves. LadyG's being lynced versus one of the guilty ones was a tragedy to this town was it not?

That, or like Grins, you knew that train was going to crash, so you were careful not to leave any prints at the crime scene. Not content with that, you must remind us you have left no prints at the crime scene. OK I get it. You must be innocent too. Everyone is innocent. Maybe you and Grins are right, the scumbags all left town. We must have bored them all to death.

Oh good grief, I never said any such thing so why you'd even suggest I think it or am supporting that line of thought is a mystery. Meanwhile while we're having this pointless of exchange of innocents having to explain things that they never said there are multiple elves and a grinch probably laughing at us all. I don't happen to think you're guilty at this point, I just think you're falling into their plan and becoming a pawn in their own little game.

5 of 14 have voted....

Nightfall in about 13 hours....

okay I am here breifly I have copany over in RL so I am so sorry I caused do much conspiracy last night. I only voted for myself because I was sure of my postion, and I didn't want to throw out random votes if I wasn't sure but with the rate innocents were lost it probably would not have mattered.

I still don't understand why you voted for yourself either. At the very least it wasnt' helpful towards getting someone evil if you are innocent. At the very worst it may have been an attempt to make us feel confused and lost and take suspicion off of you when in essence it did the opposite. It causes me concern about you.

Clown-lover has had some real life issues develop and has sent me an e-mail stating he will not be able to pay appropriate attention to the rest of this game, and has decided to drop out.

A total of 14 Townies remain as players from the original 21.

9 of them are Innocents.

5 are Evils.

All power roles are intact. There has not been any switching from evil to good/good to evil.

I hope all is well with him but this is really disturbing. The ratio of evil people in our town is frightening. Yes it is stating the obvious, but sincerely it is a bit overwhelming.

Blueiz I know but I wasn't going to back on until late today and I thought that it really would make sense, i was soooo wrong. I know my postion but it was better to vote for me than say someone that I had no proof on.

How though Beth? Does this mean you have proof you are evil? A letter from Bala perhaps?
