Thanks for your advice.

I'm not really keen on shrimps or Kuhli loaches. I would like more fish shaped fish. So I'll go for dwarf cories and an oto or two. I don't expect the Oto to do my tank cleaning but if it helps and is natural that is good.

So how do I go about replacing my danios (3) with Caridnal Tetras? I didn't realise they needed so much space when I got them. I have had the danios in the tank since Monday. I don't have anyone to give them to and can't fit/afford a bigger tank! Could I bring them back to the shop?

Can you mix different types of guppies or should I get all of the same strain.

I would recommend taking them back to the lfs and trading them in towards cardinal tetras. Yes, you can mix guppy strains.
