Those are malasian trumpet snails, often called MTS.

Neat! I'll have to keep those in mind. Do you find they breed so fast they threaten to take over a tank?

They will multiply to the available food source. I try not to overfeed, so they don't get to epidemic proportions. In a tank with consistent over-feeding they will quickly get out of hand.
