Well, guy's I leave it up to you all. I do want to stay in the game, I do believe this is going to be a good game. I put it out there, I to have PMed ppl in the game while the game was going on, people have PMed me also. Should I (and others, I wont name if they want it known they will say as I have) be allowed to play or should I also die a UD??

Also this opens a whole new window we need to look at, can players playing together be allowed in the chat room at the same time???

I understand your point I think. And I too have shared PMs with game players in both games I've been in. It would seem weird to not say hi to them. Part of playing the game though seems to be to let the mod be the definitive answer call though and knowing Clown I can't help but think he did what he really thought was best with the info he had.

I just want to add one more thing on the subject. I want to apologize to you Clown for putting you in this position, and please to not take it personal. I just don't want to be unfair. I respect you and everyone who Mods these games, if it weren't for you all we would have no Mafia, and I am sure it is a very crazy thing to try and do...doubt I could myself. I just want you to know I have NO ill feeling toward you in anyway, and I do respect what ever decisions you make.

No, I have never sent out multiple PMs to each player, but I have pmed with ppl. I did not realize it was a violation, unless it had something to do with the game. I believe you were pressured to take the action you did. I realize everyone did question him (and for the record..I did get one too), and have no idea why he didn't at least come on an say I just wanted to say Hi or whatever..but he didn't, not responding to ppls post have not been reason to UD ppl either as far as I know. I agree also it was questionable as to why he did it, I just pretty much took it as...because he's MG and that's just his way of being silly. I just don't understand how it turned into such a big deal that we had to loose a player over it.

I just want it known, that I myself HAVE PMed ppl in the game, and other ppl have PMed me also...so are we all to die a UD for doing this...that is what I want to know, or is it just certain ppl, for certain reasons? If the pm has nothing to do with the game in itself? No, I don't want to UD, NO, I don't want to quit...but we UDed someone for something I myself have done, and so have MANY other players, in this game and past games.

I do believe you and other Mods of the game to be fair, but I can't help but believe you were pressured to do what you did, for the wrong reason IMO. I'm sure it was a difficult decision to make and a hard call on your behalf. I wish I would of been here when it was going on, so I could of voiced my opinion on the matter at the time it was going on. I do not think less of you as a Mod, and I do believe you did what you felt you had to.

I understand where you are coming from LadyG but I want you to understand the decision was mine and mine alone. I am the MOD of this game and the buck stops here. I was not PM'd by anyone requesting his removal from the game if that is what you are insinuating.

But to be honest I don't know MG like you and the rest of the FW people do. I honestly can count the interactions that I have had with him on two hands. So when people say thats just typical MG is like when I say "thats the way they play the game" to most newbies to mafia. I have no frame of reference to go by.

Realistically it boiled down to what I have stated, nothing more.. nothing less. So please can we put this behind us and continue playing the game? I think we have spent enough bandwidth on this issue as of this point and quite honestly continued comments are really making me wonder if I should continue in my own position or just call the game completely.

I felt I needed to address this and your previous messages.. I am assuming that your PM's had nothing to do with the game correct? They were probably along the lines of, what do you think of my new fishie.. or something equally as harmless.

If the message did relate to the game then I would expect you to back out of the game gracefully and be an honest player about it. If you weren't being honest and sharing information outside of the game it really ruins it for the rest of the players and I personally would quit communicating with you on the forum.

If the PM's had nothing to do with the game I don't see a harm with it..

The problem I had and have to this point is that when prompted by other players he didn't state what was up.. The message itself was vague at best. He sent them only to players in the game. A couple were individual but there were groupings of people addressed in the same message. I don't believe that MG is a dummy from what I can tell of his messages in this thread. I can tell that he has a playful attitude about life. Ok.. Fine.. However he could tell as well as I could that people were getting upset with what happened and could have taken the time to say.. "Hey this is what I was doing".. He didn't answer. He was prompted by several players about it. Had he answered it would have probably dropped there and I would have told him please don't do it in the future. This is ultimately what it boiled down to. All game related things are to stay in the thread not pm's not in chat rooms unless you are authorized to do so.

I also don't see a problem with players being in the AC chat room together either as long as they are not discussing the game.

Well, because of the tell Beth did, and it doesn't look like my vote will make a difference anywhere else (unless someone else slips and I can convince the whole town),
I retract my vote against Mad and vote to make Beth walk the plank.

Ok, Thanks for your responses and I hope I did not offend you in anyway. To answer to your question...No none of the pm's were game related, just off the wall things...like good night, or are you ok, or odd and end things like that.

Ok, guys I have quite a few thoughts here, am going to start with these, then I will go on to others:grinyes:

Oh, I see. Well, I can't give you any "pirate" activity, but will be in and out as I am reviewing threads and painting the dang livingroom and dining room ceilings....:silly:

Beth seems to have gone MIA....

And I am a bit surprised not to have seen more from mee-mee...

Lady G's play is a lot, and I mean a lot, like last game...interesting to me...

Things should spice up a bit today, as we should expect most folks to have an initial vote in by night fall (EST) so things can be discussed a bit and see where their thoughts are.

Ok, Rb this is interesting, and I mean very interesting...since I had only posted a few times, let's see last game I had the highest post by this point, so tell me HOW was I posting sooo much like last game??

For now I vote to make MG walk the plank

He is non committal to helping the town and has not expressed any real views.

Others that need watching for jumping heavily on the avatar switch are

for the level of worry about a 1st post analysis

I'm not saying Beth isn't pirate, she was pretty defensive about a few things.

JM is pretty much going nuts over nothing when she does post

JL while he is kicking in the doors is also pretty quick to jump on every little thing.Says he is trying to be Charlie like, but evil Charlie or good Charlie?


Everyone is suspect at this time though so just because I highlighted a few people doesn't mean I'm more suspect of them then others. Just throwing out some early thoughts on play style.

Umm, excuse me Ice...I did not "jump heavily" on the Avatar thing, yes I asked her about it, I did not in any way "jump heavily" though. It was something I noticed and posted about, sorry but I made ONE post about it how is that jumping heavily???

Well, that was alot of reading without much payoff. I am still pretty solid on my vote for Beth, but I'm growing concerned about a few other things.

Mg for one, he seems to be playing his own game and eluding to possibly being a power role. I dont think anyone but evil would try to avoid questioning by trying that and if true it'd be a dumb move.

JL's involvement is (as he admitted) much different than previous games, although I do remember days when he posted in flurries. I think he was evil that game though.

Judge & Lady G- I see "interaction" here. JM stated that she thought LC might be a past player, Lady G calls JM evil with no real proof, and then comes back to question if LC ight in fact be a past player. It's a bit early to try casting complex possibilities out there and would only serve to confuse things and while I agree that he's not playing the classic newb, so far he seems helpful so I'm more concerned about what's going on behind the scenes. I think this also may have been some minor early distancing so if one goes, they can point out that they "suspected" them.

It's early for a list, but here's mine for 1/2 way through day 1.

Well, I'm enjoying being the wildcard this game...it only lasts once, right? I hope I'm not making myself out to be THAT big a threat...I don't want to have a pirate hit put out on me so early that I don't get to enjoy my first game. But the fact that people are talking about me...I'll take it as a sign that I'm making people think, and that's a good thing.

Dirty mods...I say we lynch 'em all.

And LG's posts do have a similar feel to last game's...maybe she's doing it on purpose though. Still, no one should have any reason to make the bad guys think they're one of their non-coms...all the pirates know who eachother are already, and it scares me the advantage that gives them. I'll settle for watching her...closely.

Oh, are you going with Rb on this one...hmm thats pretty interesting also. Again, I hadn't posted much of anything at that time, and if you think that is like last game...you must of been looking at the wrong game. Also I was a communicating Mafia last game. Anyway, I usually start out pretty laid back, as the game progresses, I get more aggressive and call alot of ppl out, sometimes I get really caught up in my thoughts and look, well to say the least a little crazy.

Clown...can we get an updated vote tally, and based on your work schedule, your best guess at Day One Nightfall, when vote changes will no longer count...

Ummm, RB it was stated when nightfall would be, not guesstimated...and why are you so worried about vote changes..afraid you are going to get some votes your way?? As far as I know vote changes count UP TO nightfall there isn't a cut off point until night is called?

Good observation for a newb, you must be paying attention to other games.

Day 1 becomes more important for future days as you can look back and see who was distancing,protecting slipping up.

From the rules:

9) The number of Pirates within this game will be up to the random number generator. It will be less than or equal to 40% of the total game population but not less than 25% of the game population.

That means there are between 5 and 7 pirates to look for. 3 of them being power roles.

You know Ice I thought the same thing..it was very good for a newb, and I stated after a few posts of his how he reminded me of someone...know who that person was, give you three guesses and the first two don't count.

Is there a reason you switched from a water type avatar to a Halloween type avatar when its Christmas time?

Look, you were the first to question Beth about her avatar change...hmm, but you are saying those who talked about it need to be watched, kinda funny how that is, isn't it.

I think its funny that Beth and JM are so worried about an analysis that was made even before PMs were sent out.

Look, you brought both Beth and JM up here, which one were you hoping everyone would jump on, looks like they all followed suit on Beth. Though I too asked her about it, and wondered why she was so willing to change when questioned..I am wondering more about you right now.
