Hood Ideas??

like some SPS's and maby a clam and an anemone. i saw a pic of a hood with 4 48''VHO bulbs (2 actinic blue, 2 day) i think im going to just copy that design

All require intense lights. I'd stick with either MHs or T5s(with individual reflectors) or a combination of them both. I'd not consider others adequate personally.

I agree with grins that the VHO's probably wont be enough for many of the SPS's and Anemone's and not even close for a clam but that is JMO. T-5's with individual reflectors would be good for a 55 gallon tank with the stock list you gave.

Ok thanks guys, im guna have to do some reading on T-5's then ill get back to all u. Also, does anyone no of anyone who has built their own T-% or Mh fixture for the aquarium??
