Tomorrow im supposed to go and pick up some cherries from this one guy..The commute there is atleast 45min-1hour.. My question is, whats a safe way to transport these shrimps safely back to my house with it being 40 degrees outside??!
another question is.. If on the way back instead of bringing them to my house i stop by my friends and keep them there for a few hours to warm up whats a good way to keep them alive for those few hours?? can i just keep them in a glass bottle with some java moss and make sure the water is warm?? or that wont do?

styrofoam box. the car does have a heater doesnt it?

going to the city in a car is even more of a pain in the behind.. I will most likely bring a small cooler with a small heat pack.
Now only question remains is : can i keep them in a glass bottle with some plant for a few hours without them dying?

When you buy fish from the pet store it takes up to an hour before they get inside of your aquarium (15-30 from store to home, 15-30 for acclimation). And the plants would help a bit to increase the oxygen by a little. I doubt by very much, though. If you're stopping by at your friend's place you might as well bring an air pump and line to put some oxygen back in the water before heading out again.
