I hate snails. They're all over the place. My plants look like cr*p and I put a couple of plants in my aquarium floating b/c I was going to plant them later and now all the roots have been eaten off!

The snails put out way more waste then my fish do!

I want them gone. All of them. I hate them!

I tried killing them before with Snail-Be-Gone or something and all it did was kill some of my plants.

If you do regular removals of the ones you see once or twice a week you should be able to get them under control without using chemicals. Some suggest using a lure such as a leaf of lettuce... they'll come out to feast on it and then you just take it out with the snails on it.

Q

Stick a piece of briefly-boiled zucchini or some lettuce in the gravel when it's lights-out. The next morning, it will be covered in snails. Just toss it in the garbage.

I can't get a puffer, can I?

I think it's a 20 gallon tall. I don't have any other fish in there right now. I was considering putting my betta in there but I also have a ten gallon so he doesn't need to be in there.

i agree...i hate those tiny little pond snails that always seem to appear outta no-where...i wish there was a sure-fire way of getting rid of snail eggs (when introducing new plants / driftwood, etc.). I've been hand-picking the ones i can find...but I've also discovered that if i just smash them against the glass, the guppies and RCS love to eat up the snail - escargo for my pets!!! bwahahahaha

I used to scoop them up and dump them in my red eared slider's tank but he passed away. :(

That's what I do. Do this every time I walk past the tank and no snail problem inside of 2 weeks...
