Mafia #21 Cabin Fever- The Play

Get what wording right? I didn't quote you or even attempt to say what you said. I said "for comments made on the mafia anonymous thread ". I did not say what the comments were. How can you quote a post that you skim?

Sounds to me that you want to quit, before even giving this format a chance.

I am glad I have amused you, but I would think that you would atleast have one suspect at this point. A guess is better than just quitting.

So far, I like this format better than the 50/50 with some mafia not being able to talk. I think this would be better with a small group of mafia AND a lone madman. I think after a few nights and a few suitcases it will get interesting.

If I wanted to quit, I would have. I am giving it a chance to see if it picks up, but don't believe my usual style would lend anything helpful.

LOL. I actually said that I would be a low poster / observer this game. At least get the wording right. I said that and will go by it because (and zero offense intended to Jpappy here) the more I've thought about it, the less I like this format. There's little to no strategy other than for 3 (MM, Ac, & Det) people (the Doc MAY come into play later, but even that is doubtful) and the vast majority are in the dark so like someone said before, it's basically a crapshoot. We'd be just as (maybe more) likely to win the game if we all just agreed to the list of people to banish each night right now (I'll even volunteer to be first). So, given that I don't believe my posting and questioning people will yield anything because there are only 2 people to hope for a slip from and the chances of identifying any real connection is basically nil.

I do find it terribly amusing that YOU are the one to call posting style into question.

I find myself not to much into the game either as I don't really see it as anything more then a crapshoot. You can't rely on votes, trains, protection (for the most part) though my vote will be based on the protection as you'll see in a minute.

I am hoping the game picks up but I don't really see how it can, this format just doesn't have the adrenaline capabilities of other formats.

You know, when I do crap like that, everyone jumps all over me. So I'll take the high road for now. No 'evil' player would be so silly as to (within the first 11 posts) make every mistake possible.

Don't think you're off the hook though.

how quiet...... the possibility of mistakes is very high in this game. Should make things interesting

Ogre slides up to the bar and asks for a diet virgin cuba libre... in a tall glass witha lime wedge. Ogre prefers B&Bs, but the one in the town of AC Ville was destroyed in a mysterious fire some months ago.

These people are really weird.

BTW: Our odds of making a mistake at this point are huge (14 to 1), so accept it and move on. We must vote to get rid of people or I might suggest that we sit back for a while. Of course, that gets me lynched too... even when someone else says it too... sigh.

I would like to know as well rb, its time to start figuring things out.
I have no feel on anyone, because half haven't posted and there has been nothing to go on.
Honestly Ogre I think LC is just trying to rattle cages, but all this vote switching does have me thinking.

Oh boy, I really did it in for myself this game. Oh well, Someone's gotta go in the first night, pity it has to be me.

I know that LC was jumping around on votes, but half of them were jokes, or maybe even all of them, but I don't think it means he is evil. Not saying he is innocent either.

Rb there is no need to shout we hear you.

Malbri-do you know that every game I have played with you, you've been evil......hhhmmmm.

Okay make your own call on this but my 1st 3 votes are right here.

Beth protects LC on a few occasions and there is possible distancing between LC Ogre and Beth.

The Madman Accomplice and Don all know one another. I think all 3 are sitting right here.

I vote to Banish Beth, hopefully the Madman but I'd settle for accomplice.

ok all...I see how this game can be a crapshoot so if it is ok with you I would like to put in place a group or two of communicating innocents AFTER night 1...its a possibility as I dont want this game to die

RB, the more I think about it, the more I am interested in hearing why Mal should be voted as opposed to LC. You're too smart to make such an early designation, prove to me that I am wrong in my vote.

Actually, DD, nothing was meant by it. :)

I was responding to Lchap's post about "pity" it had to be him to be banished when the day and the game is so young. With 14 Innocents, I can pretty much claim (I didn't say I knew he was, as Lady G pointed out), that anybody is Innocent with pretty good odds. But then again, I have also said I think Lchap is the Don.

The Don can't hurt us and if banished, we don't win. It is 14 against 1, the Madman. Getting the Don early just narrows the field of choices slightly. Getting the Accomplice early helps by limiting the Madman's hits to 50/50.

My decision to vote Malbri was just as random as anything that had been posted so far, but may change. But with her recent posts on the probablility of her being evil, I think she has slipped up. The vote may stay there.

If you're going to do this then you need to pick 1 person and then let them choose 6 players of which they receive 2 or 3 of them.

I wasn't dissing the format Jpap and would play to the end,the game or mine.

Just think that until we get down to half the players there is no way to tell who is what with any conviction and even less chance of talking anyone to your viewpoint.

Also think if the Det finds any of the 3 bad guys he should be able to tell us. Finding one of the 3 in itself would be a crapshoot for the Det.

DD, the posts I was referring to....above...

Didn't take those posts into consideration at all.

Maybe take Ogre off my list and put Mal in her spot. Or leave Ogre and remove LC. Beth could still protect an innocent LC for her gold stars.

Just don't see the madman asking for their accomplice to be any of the 3 (LC Beth Mal). Seems like a noob madman would want experience. A vet might go with noobs though.

The entire game just about an evil could sit on another evil and not have anything said about it.

You want some excitement? Set it up so the top 3 vote getters get taken out each night. Be sweet if the top 3 were the 3 bad guys.

Hmmm...I may change those.

Sorry for the rule changing on the fly...I guess I should have went over more hypothhetical situations in my head before I started the game. This really is hard...

In reference to the red text above, I don't believe so Ice. I think the rules state the Don knows who the Madman is. On night 4, the Don will be told who is the Accomplice. The Don can't communicate with either of them, and is immune to a murder hit by the Madman.

From what I understand :

Madman knows the Don and accomplice.

Accomplice knows the Madman

The Don knows the Madman

Nothing says the Madman can't tell the accomplice who the Don is or vice versa. Only says that Jpap will tell the Don on night 4 who the accomplice is.
