Hey everyone,

Another stocking question from me lol

I have a 5.5 gallon lightly planted tank. Right now it has cory fry I'm raising, some shrimp, and snails.

Once the Cory babies leave, I would like to put some fish in there.

My pet store can't order in what I want (bumblebee gobies, pygmy gouramis, or scarlet badis). So I'm looking for other fish now.

I want something that:

-Is not dumb
-Can be kept in pairs

I don't want guppies, endlers, bettas, or a dwarf gourami or a honey gourami.

Is there anything you guys can think of I can put in there?

Thanks

Matt

I am not sure if your LFS carries these or if they can order them, but you could go with a pair of killifish. The males are one of the more colorful freshwater species available. I have a breeding pair in a 2.5 gallon tank and they do very well. Here is a link to see all the different species available.

you've outruled pretty much all of the options that are readily available, and considering that your LFS wont order anything for you, there isnt much left to consider.

They will order stuff in for me...I even have the order list here...but I don't think they'll ever get those species on the list.

Sadly, I don't think my pet store can order them in. I was thinking of maybe buying eggs on Aquabid though.

Thanks for the link!
