Right now, I am torn between a vote for grins, and a vote for beth, grins as stated prior, and beth, because shes so darn agreeable, ..and every other person on her list was , ..not sure, don't know, ..could be, maybe not, ..I used that same strategy when i was guilty...didn't want to upset anyone...

The hit on HN says one thing......... the boss didnt want HN in the game to possibly expose the mafia. This is prob a tactic of a vet player......Sounds Ogreish if u ask me.

Aren't there only 2 players that would eliminate? Emo and Ct, one of which we already know was mafia for sure? I haven't played with Ogre before, not you either in fact, what is it that you know about Ogre that might convince those of us that don't have a refrence from a past game with him?

My question was this, the only 2 players that had not played the game before to possibly be considered a vet would be CT and Emo. So what about Ogre set him apart from everyone else to have the move seem Ogreish to you? Are you going to answer this direct question or be "helpful" and again suggest I go back and read the 21,000 or so past posts from previous games?

OK, I just got back home and have to go out again. I sure pray the rest of '08 is better than this stupid week..

Ogre: Never played with Ogre before, not even sure of their gender. Not getting any sort of read other than wondering why they'd have voted for LadyG at first and said it was for no reason at all.
Ogre reminds me of Mad a bit. Very helpful in his posts, but that means nothing about Mad because he is either being a helpful townie or he is mafia trying to blend in. It probably means the same with Ogre.

This is the nicest thing anyone in a mafia game has said to me.

bkw votes cten in 260 and judge voted you in 265, making it 2/2, lchap/cten.

in post 315 at 5:30 AM thursday, I stated my dislike for voting on a newbie day one, but they were my best guess, at the time.

in post 333 at 1:24 PM TH, beth votes cten, making it 3/4, lchap/cten.

in post 337 at 4:20 PM TH, grins votes you, making it 4/4, lchap/cten.

in post 365 at 6:17 PM I vote lchp, didn't bold and stated I wanted to see who would vote shift. At that point, my vote switch pulled things to a 5/5 tie. I had to come back in post 371 at 6:23 PM to bold the vote and make it count. Doing this helped reinforce my not wanting to vote a newbie off on day one. It also set up a situation where the Mod had to flip a coin and indirectly make the call on who got lynched.

in post 415 at 7:42 PM, over an hour later, hook comes along and votes for you, making the vote 6/5, lchap/cten.

As you can tell, he was using a bogus vote tally from ice, and as soon as he realized he had moved it out of a tie catagory, he moves his vote to Ogre, putting it back to a 5/5 count so the Mod had to flip a coin.

I would rather lose a Day one newbie to a coin flip, mafia or innocent, than by my vote. I am tired of your constant complaining in these games how everyone misreads you and your votes are being driven because of others, instead of owning up to your own faults.

We are mis-reading you....but you sure as **** can't explain yourself well enough to convimce others you are an innocent.

May be you need to stop bragging about all your deductive capabilities and deductions and be held accountable for you statements, not your thoughts.

I don't see how she answered it perfectly there at all. Unless you and JM are both saying you consider HN a big enough threat that you'd have risked losing him as the mafia boss. After playing with him on a team before I'd have investigated him before hitting him the first night.

I have to thank you for your unwilligness to answer a direct question. If anything it helps paint a clearer picture of your intentions in the game which look dodgy now.

On Ogre you pretty much summed up why he reminds me of Mad's style.

On the newbie as the boss theory, these were the votes HN placed in the first day:

14: DD
45: Mg
304: Cory
375: Bkw
415: LC
425: Ogre

None of those players were brand new (CT or Emo), although he certainly did his share of goading them both.

LC isn't brand new nor a vet in my mind, he certainly had the opportunity to learn HN's style in the pirate game as I did. Maybe less so since their communication was in email form versus IM form, but it makes me doubt that he'd have hit HN. It isn't enough to make me think he isn't mafia though, especially with HN moving his vote off of LC with perhaps a suspicion at that point that LC was perhaps mafia and worth keeping around a bit longer.

Mg, well Mg is in a class of his own. I might give myself another migraine if I try to figure him out much more than to realize his tactic will be to foil any plans he can just in the name of fun.

That leaves HN's other targets that day as you, Cory, Bkw and Ogre. I've already agreed with you in Ogre being a tough read and why. He strikes me as too clever to off HN the first night. Cory is....well Cory. He might have done it. While you have said you'd not have done it as the boss it could of course be a tactic to shift blame but...Bkw has already come out and admitted that JM made perfect sense in why a vet would do it. So while none of this lets anyone off the hook it does make me wonder more about Bkw. Is he the vet that offed HN thinking he was a threat by casting a vote towards him?

Bk, you seem to like to keep in the back ground just out of the way enough not even to be noticed, at least when we were on a team, this is how you were. And how very telling. I have to say that I also find it kinda shady if what you are indicating is that you would have hit Hooked the first night and risked losing him, being the vet that you are and a smart player at that...

Back to Grins... you have a point about LC not being a newbie, but you see, to me, he still is. I guess the reason I believe this way is because of how strong LC came into the Mafia world about 2 or 3 games ago. He came in with the smarts of a pro.... I mean, if I would have first started that game, I would have totally believe he was.... I should have explained that although I said the highlighted names were newbies, I meant only in the sense, not in the belt notches.

Simple, ..any one who has played with HN over several games, knows, if your guilty, he is a threat. he is persuasive, and usually, very accurate on his assumptions.

Srry by vet i mean ppl ive played with. Grins, LC, and MG i dont consider vets cause i havent played with you. With the exception of clown and cory i think of the remaining "vets" orge, dd, and LG are the ones that would make that decision.

Ogre is a calculator, and by that i mean he is good at planning ahead, not to say that he is the only one who does that but Ice is the mod, Mad isnt playing, and Zsandman isnt playing.......so my next suspect is Ogre.
