Down & Dirty Shopping Guide for Your First SW Tank

My canister filter has a 210 gallon per hour rate, would it be possible to use that instead of a power heard for a 10/20 gallon tank? Also, I have a 10 gallon tank which has 2 15 watt lights, and a 20 gallon tank that has 2 25 watts, would either of those be able to withstand and types of plants/corals/mushrooms?

A canister filter isn't going to give you the dispersed chaotic flow that a good powerhead would in my opinion. The lights depend on what kind really, if you post details of the fixtures others can help answer.

Would be best to start this with a new thread..

Thanks
