so, why are you guys being so nice?.. honestly, i could care less, if anyone else has an alliance, if we break it up early, and evenly, then what does a group actually achieve?..its gonna end up serving the same purpose as singular votes?..the only way, is to use groups as strengths, ..?.. I don't get why, in a game, that is cut throat, you are all playing so nice?...
because no one really knows what to do yet...relax JM.....take a deep breath.
Well, I have been thinking and trying to figure things out a bit, looking at different ways to play this game out...a couple thoughts I came up with.
1) Everyone independent from the get go (which we are right now), vote however no real "plan" just do it.
2) Pair off, this would give 5 "teams" with 1 independent...could be the tie breaker, or independent vote. Now this is where the "secret votes" could come into play..if a person doesn't really agree with or wants to go against their "partner" they could vote secretly or even vote to lynch their partner, "secretly".
3) Team up into "groups" with an odd number there would be one group with less people or we could have 2-3 non-grouped. They could be the same as the 1 person above, also everything else mentioned above could/would apply. With this we could have 3 groups of 3 w/ 2 independents, or 2 groups of 4 with 3 independents or 2 groups of 4 with 1 group of 3.
With groups or pairs, eventually each group or pair will be down to one representing their group...or may end up voting each other off...taking out your own.
4) Group/pair up for the first couple days just till we figure how we want to play this game out...how it works so to say.
Just a few scenarios that ran through my head...please give some input as to how others feel about it.
Not sure how we would choose pairs/groups, one way would be everyone name 2-3 people you would want on your side, matching picks would go together, then other would team up from there. I don't even know if any of these would work....but they were just thoughts and I thought I'd share them.
this is going to be an extremely confusing game..
but i do like the idea of groups, i think anyone on a group would have a better chance of survival untill/unless a team mate backstabs you or the detective finds out you have a power role that can jeapordize him, or his teammates.
i'm just not sure what the groups should be, the group of two seems more logical..i'd rather have one person backstab me, rather than 2-3 people.
I agree the pairs would be better backstabbing wise, but groups would be more "powerful" to start out. Heck we may even end up with team "jumpers" person x is with person y, but person z's partner is killed off or whatever so person x leaves y to go with z, kinda thing.
I believe this is going to prove to be a very interesting game. I say if you agree with groups, do not name ppl you would want yet though...wait until we know if everyone is willing to do this. Of coarse we could always have one who just team up even if others do not want to. IMO, though I think teaming up at least to start out would make it a little easier to get through an understand the game.
Now if we do, do this...we also have to take in consideration everything "communicated" to your group (partner) would be in the thread for everyone to see, since there is no communicating outside the thread.
This is also where I could see the Doctor, Operator, or the Shamen may be able to make since to come into play...all have an ability that can hurt themselves when used...in this situation you would have teamies that could help you some....like the Dr could "save" a team mate if they are up for a lynch, now the Dr just gave up 2 votes...his team could help him/her out in a since. (I think), except for no one knows who is what. The operator can give 2 ppl the ability to communicate...this would help your team if there are 3 or more on the team...giving two team mates the chance to communicate. Being in "groups" is a good way to use abilities... again, I think.
well..i would definitely be willing to be split off into groups..
well, now we just have to figure out who will be in the groups, and how many people will be in a group..
well there is 9 of us so we could do 3 groups of 3
well, if we stick with that list, there could be 3 groups of 3, and 1 group of two.., or just two independants..
I honestly don't think you guys get it...there will be no "teams" as you speak of it. Alliances will be very fluid, changing day to day and even hour to hour. The Doctor may use his ability to save you from lynching tonight, only to vote you off two days later (woulda done it the next day, but yeah...lost his vote saving you). This is not a game of Mafia, but a game of survivor...and only when an alliance or friendship benefits you will you keep it...and you'll be quick to turn.
