Hey all.
Have a lovely 35l tank all set up and cyciling etc...
but what do I put in it?! lol
It's coldwater....would like it to stay like that for now.
Always fancied invertebrates, algae eaters, crayfish.
but there are two problems with this....
1) where can I but reputable creatures like this from in the UK? (I live in the north west)
2) I'm not sure which of these are suitable for cold water (my themometer reads 22-23 degrees)

Any help would be very much appreciated!!!
Many Thanks

I'm guessing you mean 35 liters (AKA 9.25 gallons), not a 35g long tank?

haha yes sorry i meant 35litres....
that'd be a big tank :)
you see, as much as i love common goldfish and the varieties of fancy goldfish, i've kept them all when i was younger before....
I've never kept invertebrates etc and I think I would just love to keep them.
To those of you in the UK, where can you buy these kinds from?
the big pet stores are terrible and only stock popular fish....and they don't stock them very well!
And also, can you get coldwater algae eater? My tank is about 22-26 degrees
many thanks

35 liters is too small for any schooling fish unless you want tropical species. White clouds need plenty of swimming space, sorry.

Edit: The only temperate fish I'd put in it is a paradise fish. I keep forgetting this one.

I would consider getting a heater and putting a few fancy guppies or a betta and some inverts

^don't listen too him, coldwater is the best.

Paradise fish are great (I've got one in my tank at work). They are very hardy and do just fine at your temp's especially in Northwest UK. That damp cold had me frozen most of the time when I lived in Manchester for a couple years. The males can get aggressive towards other fish.

Depending on the shape of your tank White clouds might do just fine in a school of 6-8. Try to get only 2 males though and you'll have less problems.

Rosy red's might also do just as well but the males might get too territorial if you don't have enough nesting spots for them.

been doing some research and like the look for all the fish that were suggested.
really like the look of some loaches though...would they be ok in a tank with a temp at 24-26 degrees?
also saw an oto...how about those?
i would love a little community...but not sure if these are compatable.
i've heard the white clouds are a good fish to start with....more research i think! :)

Many loaches require very large tanks... 100+ US Gallons. I'm not sure that there are any that will stay small enouh for your tank.
