Husband says "no more fish"..

Yeah, the livebearers will breed like crazy and I don't see any other fish in there that would actively prey on the babies. I used to keep platies with angels in order to keep the population in check.

The black widows, tiger barbs, betta, pictus, and livebearers would all go after them... A large tiger barb can easily fit a molly fry down, and a full grown pictus can eat (and probably will :lipssealedsmilie:) most of the fish in the tank!

I agree that you can add more. Add to the schools, and look at some larger fish (dwarf cichlids?) that can be baby control.

Would love to increase the size of their schools! Will do that before I buy any others. Are pictus catfish really that aggressive? The guy I have keeps to himself, in his little cave, doesn't bother anyone.....yet.

Oh, almost forgot. I've been told that dwarf cichlids will eat plants. True or no? Cuz that would be bad, very very bad. Would love to have some though, pretty little fish.

You have plenty of room to bring the current groups to size and plenty more.

yes they will eat plants! LOL...

add more fish :)

I'd up the schools and add another school maybe 12 rummy nose tetras, and a few Bristlenose Plecos.

I don't really want to fish out babies to feed to the pond fish, poor little guys. More likely to just let nature take it's course within the tank. Who knows, a few might live. (But not likely)

Five votes for more fish......looks like my hubby is gonna loose this one! lol Sorry hon!
You might want to consider purchasing a 10 to 15 gallon and raising some of the livebearer fry. I raised White Cloud Minnow fry (started with 4 adults, now have about 15 White CLouds) and it really is interesting and a lot of fun.
