Shrimp dead or moulting ?

Probably been asked numerous times before ... when a shrimp (amano) moults does it leave behind its long whiskers? I have just found what I'm hoping is a moulted skin, which has whiskers attached... Hoping its not a death,
Have not had them long so I'm not sure there should be six of them but possible to ever see more than three of four at a time...
 
yes it could well be a molt as they would shed the whiskes as well
 
I usullay see that the whiskars, legs and all get moulted. When I first bought my amano's I actually brought the exoskeletons back thinking it was their dead bodies. They replaced them so I guess I wasn't the only one not knowing.
 
seen four out the six together today... I dont think i've ever seen all six since I put them in....
 
I think nearly every shrimp owner thinks they've killed their shrimp within a week of getting them as teh move frequently induces moulting. The shed skeleton looks exactly like the shrimp, right down to feelers, hairs, antennae etc. except that it's hollow. Dead shrimp are obviously not hollow - they're frequently milky looking.
 
Same Wih Green Emerald Crabs. i thought mine Died. Ohh and My Scarlet Hermit too
