Anyone know how I can get my duster to make more little dusters?

Well, it appears I didn't really need to ask this. There's literally hundreds of little duster worm babies in my tank right now, I caught my adult duster popping them out earlier today. I also found 4 NEW feather dusters, including 2 that are identical in coloration to the big one I've got. So, I've got 3 green, 3 multicolored black/white, and one purple one. :D I'm stoked.

that's good!
You found your answer but I did not. In an 80 gallon tank, I will soon need to remove some duster. The overflow is about to clog (no joke). The problem is in my 25 gallon; looks like it's gona take years before I have lot. They look much nicer but are not many. I feed that tank really well (actually I give more food to that one than the 80g) and the water quality is perfect.

I know I could simply take some from the 80g and move them to the 25g but that does not answer my question: why do they grow that much in one tank and not in the other tank?

strange

how could you tell the colors so soon? i couldnt tell if mine was even going to color up till a few months after it started growing..

Well, that's the color they currently are. :p I know the green ones have been in there for a bit.

I now have 8 of them... 8 that are showing their crowns, that is.

I noticed the day I got my first live rock that there were little worms crawling around in the tank, I believe that there was a batch of FD's on that rock that have already spread out to other rocks. ^_^

Scratch that, there's 11 in there now. :D A few are only 1 mm or so across, others are around 4-5 cm across. My largest one is about 2 inches across.

i just got my first deather duster today... so it reproduces by itself? its gonna start poppin out babbies?

I've got tons of new ones, and most of them are getting rather big. Something like 27 of them, though there's been a little die-off.
