tank mate with oscar

I have a 55 gallon tank and planing on a much bigger one soon..I have several questions since im new to this..In my 55 gallon tank i have 1 inch and a half oscar and 2 -3 inch pictus catfish and a odd ball little tiny fish they have all been together about 4 months and all get along great ..one of the questions i have is ive got a 4 inch and about a inch wide african clawed frog can he be put in the tank with these fish? also i have a snail that is huge dont know what kind if the snail can he go in the tank with out getting ate? the snail is in with a betta right now and get along ..If the frog cant go in the big tank can he and a betta go together the betta has long fins..Or can the betta go in the big tank with the oscar and catfish and oddball little fish? I hope i was able to make this clear...the betta is about 2 inches long..as you can see i need help..thanks ,ara
 
Your betta and ACF cannot be mixed with the oscar. ACF's are predatory and will probably eat your oscar if given the opportunity. The oscar sounded too small. Oscars are also piscivores and belligerent so obviously, both cannot be mixed long-term.

Do you have pics of the oddball fish?
 
the odd ball fish is a fire tail tetra i think thats how you spell it also what about the snail its about a inch big and the same high:)

Is it the Aphyocharax rathbuni?

Keep the snail with the betta. I still need photos of the tetra just to be sure. Chances though are the tetra shouldn't be kept with the oscar anyway as the oscar will eat it later on. Keep it with the betta.

I tried mixing my ACF with my South American cichlid and they tend to pick at it a little too much for the frog to be comfortable, so I wouldn't do it. And these aren't particularly aggressive cichlids either (geo, sevs)
 
Yep, ACF and fish don't mix all that well as the frog will be able to swallow a surprisingly big fish, and fish that are too big for it to eat tend to pick at it.

I'm a bit surprised the O hasn't grown enough to eat the tetra yet, that's probably only a matter of time. You could probably keep the tet & betta together but not with the frog; frog can eat either of them.
 
I also have a blue african zebra fish in a 50 gallon tank all by itself he is just adorable he lets me feed him by hand and pet his head he is about 3 1/2 inches long ...he is very aggressive so i dont mix him with anything plus he redecorates his tank every night i have gravel in his tank and lots of marbles he loves to toss the marbles around i named him digger :) Im going to put the tetra in with the betta so his pal the oscar wont eat him even though the sleep together in the corner of the tank everyone i know thinks thats strange ..the african frog is huge! so he can stay in his tank all alone and the frog wont eat anything the pet store has to offer all he will eat is frozen shrimp from the grocery store is that normal will it kill him? he wont even eat a worm! and i want to thank everyone for the wonderful help this is a great place i feel at home here :) ara...

ACF are not usually picky eaters, mine loved NLS pellets and frozen bloodworms and krill.
