Just wondering how many skunk corys we should have in our 72g bowfront. Current residents are 4 skunk corys, 2 pearl gouramis, 2 tourquoise rainbows, 2 red rainbows, and 4 red swordtails. My wife would like to add at least 2 more.

6-8 more, or 2 more skunks and 6 more of another kind.

I think you could add a dozen to a tank that size without stressing the bioload. What kind of filtration do you have on the tank?

:iagree: The only question mark is if "skunk cory" is Corydoras arcuatus, this species is supposed to be a LOT more sensitive to nitrates than most other corys. This wouldn't stop you adding 6-8 more, but might mean that you need to up the water changes to keep nitrate levels low.

I was about to create a topic with the same question, apart from for a 55G. So how many cory cats could I fit in a 55G? (talking albino cory cats, Corydoras aeneus). Other tank inhabitants will be 21 glowlight tetras and 3 pearl gouramis.

Sorry to jump on this thread, but I did not think it was worth creating a seperate one for almost the exact same question.

Thanks.

We have a big Eiheim canister - its rated for a 100g tank.

I love watching our existing corys play, so really want to add more.
