Yeah but every thing was off. Other wise I would but since the pumps aren't running they don't help. I wanted to see what it would do and how fast it would do it if the power went out.

are you going to be running T5 or MH? if so i wouldnt worry about keeping your water warm, should be worrying more how to the water cool.
I think we are talking about getting This light but I'm not sure.
No I haven't moved the heaters yet but I'm gonna when we get the filter. I'm just playing with all the valves, adjusting them so there are no micro bubbles, figuring out how long it will be able to run before we have to top it off, and to keep it from over flowing.
OH and yes I got a digital thermometer and two floaters tonight. I set the heaters to 77 last night with no thermometer and when I put them in the tank and sump they all read 77 so I guess I got lucky.

Nice light, only wish it had T5's or VHOs instead of CFL. After doing research, it is amazing how bad CFLs really are.
1 65w CFL puts out about 40 PAR watts
1 24w T5 puts out arout 90 PAR watts
T5s take less than 1/2 the power and over double to PAR output (the only meaningful measurment for photosynthetic species.. ie. corals.). Just a month ago I scrapped my Dual 65w CFL for a 4x24w T5HO fixture.. what a difference. Now I can keep SPS corals.
