Regarding Ghost Shrimps

I get ghost shrimp at my LFS for 1$ for 12 as snacks for my cichlids. They last about 5 tenths of a second in my tank. I'm not sure why you would keep them in your tank as a pet, but if all else fails your fish will be happy you gave them a nice snack. They're cheap enough to test it out. If you want to buy more expensive shrimp, I suggest using these 1st and if they survive for a few weeks buy some more expensive ornamental ones. But remove the ghost shrimp before adding the new ones.
I added some Monday to my 10 gallon with 3 black mollies, and I think the shrimp are much more fun than the fish ever were. The way they eat, the way they swim, I could and do watch for quite a while.

My eventual intention is Red Cherry Shrimp, but before I spend $20-$30 on shrimp, I spent $0.72 on six ghosts. One of the ghosts is already berried, so I think my tank is shrimp-safe. They will probably be fed to my brother's catfish, bluegill, and pleco when I want them gone.

i had some ghost shrimp and some of them actually got killed by my tiger barbs...

I love inverts!

Oh crap. Do you think my 6 ghosts will kill my pygmy cory??? I really need to know soon so I can move some guys around to a different tank...

what size are the ghosts?? when young they seem to be timid but as they grow to be 1-1.5" they become very nosy and brave, but them attacking a big fish like a cory is almost near impossible.

No, it's a pygmy cory. And the ghosts are pretty much full grown.
