I would love to add some plants to my other driftwood, but so afraid the sevrum will make a meal of that to. what plant can I put on the log that he will leave alone. and what plant is this I paid 3.99 for today? he just got them in, I was thrilled since he has not gotten anything in lately.

anyone?
is this an Anubias ? its pretty big, I read where Anubias get 6 inches only? this one is 12 inches tall if not more. ( for 3.99 I might add:headbang2:

Are the leaves very thick or thin & pliable? It could be it could be an anubias but I think it's a brazilian sword ("peace lily" spathephylum) Not aquatic. I have an anubias with similar shaped leaves but they are held almost straight up & have a noticable rhizome.

If it is a spathephylum you can have the roots in the water & the leaves out the back. I've seen it used like that & it can look nice & help with nitrates in the tank.

you basically just bought a houseplant.

the store may have been told that it was an anubias when THEY bought it, but i really don't think it is. the roots are not right.

you can see how the anubias have a rhizome that the leaves come out of. the leaves on your plant all seem to come from a central point.
