Well I have maid up my mind and my planted tank is going to be my 100gallon-show tank. At this time it has 12 full size angels in it. Their bodies alone are 3 ½ to 4 inches across. From the bottom fin to the top fin they are 10inches. I plan on fully outfitting the tank as a plant tank with a pressurized co2 system. Will my angels be ok in the tank with the co2? If so what is the maximum co2 level if I have them in with the plants?

I think the angels will be fine all the rest of my fish and invertibrates are happy like never before with plants and the plants love co2!
cant wait for the pics!

what type of filtration do you use?

What plants do you want to keep?

what will your lighting be w/G?

Angels will be fine the one thing you may find out is they might pair off with co2 bring down the ph.

30ppm is what I under stands is a good number.

I have and currently use a FilStar Canister Filter XP3 which is good for a 175 gallon tank.
I plan on having Medium High light plants and anything below.
I have an 48" Odyssea 260wt Power Compact light on the way.The bulbs will be 2 65w 12,000K daylight and 2 65w 6500k bulbs.
So I will have 2.6WPG.
I will be running my co2 threw my power heads.
I will get a 20lb Tank.
My substrate will be Eco-Complete Plant.
Water changes will be maid once weekly at about 25%.

^ agree w/ above - you'll want another filter as having lots of plants will have a severe impact on your water circulation. I too would recomment eigher getting another Filstar or adding an Eheim 2215 or (better yet) a 2217 if you have room.

lighting sounds good

30ppm is a good "upper" number to shoot for. I strongly suggest reading www.rexgrigg.com - concise guide to planted tanks

Also - you'll want some real nutrient sponge, fast growing plants mixed in w/ your initial assortment of med/high light stems & cover, to ameloriate the algae outbreaks most new tanks experience. Search here and at APC (home of the Fertilator tool) for info on Drop Checkers, and fert systems (read, choose an easy one - EI, PPS, PMDD etc.) Also know that Rex has another site (http://www.bestaquariumregulator.com/) featuring top shelf CO2 equipment and very good prices on all things (dry) fert.

Trust me that filter have been running on the tank for one year. I rarely do water changes and I never have an ammonia spike. That filter could do way more than that size tank. I would never buy another filter but a filstar again. For you information it is maid by Rena.It is the best filter fo the money period.:grinyes:

< very well aquainted w/ Rena Filstars - still prefer Eheim classics.

All I'm saying is having a lot of plants will seriously impact your circulation - also, 12 Angels sounds like a lot to me, even for a 100g...

One more thing - canister filters make good CO2 reactors. Just feed CO2 via a sm. airstone right into filter's intake. If you elect to eschew the second filter idea, I'd recommend doing a powerhead reactor just to maintain circulation.
