Whats your Day Job?

I work for the power company, keeping powerplants in line, the lights on, and lots of carbon into the atmosphere :silly:

But dont blame me when the power goes out... :uhoh:

expect a crowd of torch-and-pitchfork wielding citizens outside your door.. we have the culprit!! ;)

Well im a systems developer for Investment Banks in the City (London,UK)

basically I sit infront of a computer all day long, developing software that the traders use to make money.

I actually work for a consultancy which is better than working directly for an investment bank, as i get to be based in the banks, but dont have to worry when they lose lots of money due to american housing markets!! lol. i just move on to the next bank!

Oh and there is a Full Gym in the basement of the bank, which is handy, otherwise dont think i would bother exercising! at all lol.

wow im glad I made this thread. Its really interesting.

I design Commercial and Industrial Water Treatment. I work mainly with wineries here in the Napa Valley, but have designed equipment from Hawaii to Dubai.

So, how long does it take your basement "spare parts" water rig to produce a gallon of >15M-Ohm resistivity, <5ppb TOC RO/DI?

I'll put the over/under at 20 seconds...

:: still waiting to see "I'm a _________, but don't tell my mom - she think's I play piano in a brothel." ::

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I'm a stay at home mom, but I wanna be a rock star when I grow up. :grinyes:

I mix, scoop (and eat) a lot of cookie dough as well as make stuff like scones, tart crust, and pastry and dessert fillings at a small bakery. Technically I'm not a baker, since I work too late in the day (aka "normal hours") to do the actual baking. I just do most of the prep work. The plus side-lots of free buttery, sugary food; down side-my parents & grandparents are waiting for me to do something with the psychology degree they paid for :lipssealedsmilie:

:perv:

I'm an Equipment Systems Specialist for a California University. My particular position requires me to have many hats computer tech, network cowboy, streaming media server admin, Audio Visual Systems integration, controller programmer (Extron, Crestron, SP Controls, Digital Media Specialist/consultant, pull and terminate wiring (Cat5/E, RJ-9/11/45, etc.) and crawl through icky places to do it, ....sigh, I realize I do too much as I cut and pasted this small part from my recent job application-- yup, shopping around for a new job :) Also, I'm a part time student working for that degree!

... oh yeah, and always available to annoy Grins, pro bono :devil: bwahahaha!
