Adding Salt for Rope Fish

Is it ok or necessary to add salt to the tank, for Rope Fishes ? Kindly advice.

Rope fish are FW, if that's what you're asking about, they don't need salt.

I read somewhere that adding some salt is perfectly safe for all freshwater fishes and may also be beneficial to all fishes... thats why...is it ok?

No. They are fine without salt. You will only be wasting your time and money adding salt and salt is not a miracle product to prevent any disease or issues there is. Stick with water changes, should there be any issues and keep salt away from your tanks unless you are treating for ich.

I agree. Only needed for treating ick.
