How long are you looking to do so? If you are going out of town - get a timer. There are timers (Drs. Foster and Smith offers them) that allow separate on-off periods for daylight, act. and lunar lights.

well ill be gone for 2 weeks, and the fan is acting up again..
i dont mind the noise, but i dont want it to like explode or something

all you need is one of your old computers fan.

any kind of AC Adapter(anything like from your old cd player battery charger, vacuum charger etc

and one last thing is really important to use this product or else you may blow up the your house if not be careful: electrical tape

9 days sounds a bit long. You might want to try nucsicktank's suggestion about a computer fan.

I recently purchased a timer for my lights. One of the best purchases I have made to date. Works great.

I definitely wouldn't keep it off for 2 weeks. Do you have a tank sitter that will be checking on water, livestock, etc?
