I was looking into getting one of those lights that has the simulated moonlighting at night, and has a timer where it will switch to "day lighting" at the appropiate time...

I guess they're pretty expensive, and I don't know why I would want or need one other than the fact that it would be pretty cool to see it at night with that type of lighting?

Any thoughts on these and where I could get them relativly cheap?:help:

i personally would just do this.

then put it on a time from when your lights go off until about the time you go to bed.

Yeah, that seems like the way to go for someone who was handy, but to be honest, I'm like the least handiest person I know. I'm pretty sure I'd screw something up! Are there lights they that have both the simulated day and moonlight in one fixture?

I got my single led moonlight for about $15 us... i leave it on all the time.. and it does my 36 gallon fine... I think its awesome to be able to see a little in there at night. Its submergible so takes up no room and i can angle it any way i want.

Wow those look awesome...that was more of what I had in mind originally.
It is Great! Its not cheap but they are very well built!!!
I took the chance and bought it--and I WILL be buying mor for my new tanks! I talked with this guy extensively before I bought and he is Great! He spends lots of time on making each one the way you or I would make it! Also he will build ANY size, length, that you need!
