Can anyone recommend a hang- on type overflow for a 90 gallon reef tank? I have a "nameless" one on my 120 gal, that has the curved tubes, except they always need to be re- siphoned ( a Pain). The only one I have at present for the tank is a "Tom" brand overflow, but I don't think the water exchange is enough. The sump/ refugium will be around 40 gallons, and I'll have to find a pump that will be compatible with the flow rate. Appreciate any advice.

I use a Quiet Flo overflow and am pretty happy with it. For a tank your size, I'd go with the Quiet Flo 1200, which has two u-tubes. Keeps it siphon like a champ!

I have a lifereef overflow. It has been a great product. Never builds up bubbles that have to be siphoned out and it has NEVER lost its siphon. www.lifereef.com/siphon.html

gah you could make one of those with some tupperware, 1" pvc and some black kylon paint for about $3.50

While I am not debating your DIY skills I seriously doubt what you would make would be the craftmanship of what I have. =) I picked mine up for $30 for the smaller one and $60 for the bigger. They work great so it was worth the money to me.
