I went and bought (full price btw!!lol) 2 firefish today, at the shop there were 8-10 in one tank, so i asked about pairs and he said it should be ok in my 48uk gallon. well, i bought 2, i acclimmatised them, (i havent got room for a QT tank) (however i did ask this guy about diseses on fish and he said that his stock were fully quarenteened before going in their tanks)(whatever!!)

anyways...

they swam together for about 2 hours, ate well, looked great, then i turned the lights off.....

one went in a cave, and the other swam outside for about an hour, then i went to the tank to see how everything was doing, and his darted in the cave and is hiding out right next to the other one, i can see them, they are quite neat!

i know this is the first night an all, but have they made there peace, or is there gonna b some mischief later on in life.....

could he have picked out a pair? is it the largest and the smallest with these fishes for best chances of m/f, or did i get lucky or am i just wishful thinking, these for just 2 guys scared.

thanks all

on top of that, they chose the side of the tank that all the fish seem to mysteriously ignore, so its great that i finally can check on the whole tank now!

Out of a tank with that many in there, i would say he would not of plucked a mated pair out...could of been lucky....They do go ok together in a tank...I think they will be just fine....
