Reefcam 101...I need instructions. ;-)

Ya, I know, and if Subliminal had a question or needed help I would be the first to jump in to help. Heck, if he wanted, I could remote into his computer at his house and set it all up for him in a few minutes.

I just can't stand "Mac Fanboys".. one of the things that make my blood boil because there is only 2 reasons people buy a Mac, to be "cool" or because they are computer illiterate and don't know the difference. People that actually know how to use a computer and understand them would never buy a Mac because they know it is a $300 computer with a $2700 Apple Logo.

12%, you are being VERY generous.. before Apple went Intel, they had 4% of the market, last month they had 8%.. not sure where you get 12%...
Actually I made it up:D.
Surprised I got that close..heehee. For what it's worth I gave up my G4 Powerbook for a 17" Dell M90 and never looked back.
Sorry to go off topic....no more I promise.

My 'garage computer' is running a 6 yr old 2.4c northy @ 3.0ghz and has been there for about 4 years now.

My 'main computer' is running a Opty144 @ 3.0Ghz and has been there for at least a few years.

I agree, macs are ridiculous. However, their marketing campaign that somehow Apples are for creative people, while PCs are for business applications is totally brilliant. It's not based on anything, but it sure sells their product.

As to the camera, I guess it isn't going to happen, as I'm leaving town tomorrow and don't really have any time at all to research, purchase, wire, etc...

I guess it doesn't matter...I only have a few thousand invested in my tank. ;)

BTW Subliminal, I was serious about helping you out. If you wanted, I could remote into your PC this evening when I am home from work and set it up for you.

You just need access to your router (IP/login info)
Download a program called VNC and install it (It will allow me to remote into your computer and you can watch everything I do on your screen)
Goto whatismyip.com and write down that #
And you would have to do a small change on your router to allow me to VNC in.

From there, I can do the rest.. Just throwing that option out there for you. Or I can walk you through it if you wanted to do it yourself.

Thanks, man. I don't think I'm going to have time, but I might just take you up on that at a later date.

When I was looking around the other day, I also found a program called tincam, which is supposed to be pretty good. Not sure on that one, but there's a free trial period, so who knows.
